[edit] Abstract
The design scope of 3D techniques is usually thought of in terms of lighting, shadows, focus, depth, camera angles, rotation, and other similar terms one might find in Maya or 3D Studio Max. But 3D is far more than just 3D graphics. 3D in user interfaces can be understood as a paradigm where the appearance of the interface displays real world qualities which can actually help to solve design problems and enhance the user experience.
Included in the presentation:
- A framework for understanding the value of 3D
- A look at 3D today and what's coming tomorrow
- Selection of inspirational concepts and examples of 3D mobile UIs
