Consider sponsorships rather than advertising as a monetization model. 6-12 months, $50k-$100k could be viable.
WAP Billing means no entering data ... but you may not have this off deck. If you have pre-paid customers, your billing needs to be instantaneous. A 5 minute delay could mean the difference between balance sufficient to pay and not.
Bango powers off-deck billing via relationship with carrier. Includes a checkout process; when done return to off-deck page. Basically like Paypal. But goes to operator bill or from pre-paid bucket. OpenMarket also in this space.
If possible, make banner ad landing pages free to browse. Reduce customer cost to click, reduce barriers to entry.
