Japanese users want their own "Keitai" (means mobile device in Japanese) especially customized for each of them. In this presentation, the following matters are to be presented:
- NTT DoCoMo's approach to mobile user interface customization
- Introduction of brand new UI customization service called "Kisekae Keitai," which users can customize menu design and arrangement of functionalities in menu by user themselves (including demos)
- What can artificial intelligences contribute to useful mobile user interfaces?
- Semantic web approach: a task-oriented mobile service navigation menu based on task-ontology that represents user's real world problem solving model
- Statistical approach: an automatic menu customization based on the analysis of user operation history (including demos)
