[edit] 4-way Scroll controllers

This is that found on the early touchpoints, and still encountered on many consumer devices (Garmin GPSs, some digital cameras, some printers, etc.). The OK button is separate from the direction keypad.

[edit] 5-way Scroll controllers

These are identical to the 4-way scroll pad, but the center of the pad, or a function of pressing all 4 ways at once, is the OK button. Phones tend to be this way now.

Note that neither of these require a single button. This interface can be faked with any other key type (image of the SAT zeroing device with contact pads?)
